Thomas Zakrzewski (Tom Z.) is a Distinguished Engineer and Head of Architecture for Risk Services at S&P Global Market Intelligence. He leads the Blockchain Task Force at S&P Global developing strategy and framework for a trusted data services supporting blockchain echo systems. Tom is a frequent speaker at internal and external conferences discussing blockchain technologies, cryptoassets, and risk models.
Tom has over 25 years of IT experience in Software Engineering, Financials, Telecom, e-Commerce, Distribution & Logistics and Healthcare. He architected, implemented and managed the delivery of high performing distributed systems for Trading Equities, Options, Derivatives and Fixed Income assets, Portfolio Margin Risk Management, Options Arbitrations, Credit Ratings, Client Advisory, and Big Data platforms. Throughout his career he held numerous positions ranging from a developer and architect to a CIO.
Currently he serves on the Advisory Board for New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), and Big Data Certification Program at Rutgers University. He holds degree in Mathematics, Computer Science and pursues advanced degree in Predictive Analytics (MSPA) from Northwestern University.
