Mike Yung is a data scientist at Uber, where he builds machine learning models to improve the efficiency for Uber’s multi million dollar global marketing budget. He is a core contributor of CausalML, an open-source Python package that solves causal inference problems using uplift modeling and meta-learners. Before Uber, he was employee #2 at a VC-backed startup that builds customer lifetime value (LTV) models for e-commerce companies, such as Dollar Shave Club and FabFitFun. Even before that, he prototyped the first content recommendation system at PlutoTV and engineered an NLP product for an ed-tech startup.
